  • ✹ Worked at AWID as the Information, Communications and Media manager.

    ✹ Co-creating the Flourish retreat, a trauma-informed, care-centered feminist space supporting the wellbeing and sustainability of grassroots activists in Southern Africa.

    ✹ A student in Gender Fail’s Publishing Now: Zine Critical Theory and Group Anthology. 

    ✹ Sponsored Sex of the Nation Address (SONA), a one-day celebration and exploration of sexuality, kink, queerness, gender and embodied joy.

    • Facilitated the panel ‘SA’s sex life’

    ✹ Relaunched Hedone’s website, a community grounded in collective care, healing and pleasure. We publish and collaborate with our community in creating a living archive of Black queer life.

    ✹ Serving on the advisory board of Queerwell.

    • This led to a 3 month mentorship of the fellows, an artist from Benin.

    ✹ Completed a course with Sex Tech School

    ✹ Selected to participate in Ukuthula, a 3 day writing workshop in Gqeberha facilitated by vangile gantsho and Moafrika wa Mokgathi. 

    ✹ Serving on the advisory board of Queerwell.

  • ✹ Content Consultant at The Wikimedia Foundation

    • ​Researching and providing insights via surveys and interviews to understand and identify key insights around how community resources materials are perceived and engaged with

    • Developing a toolkit that simplifies and amplifies the tone, writing style and terminology used for communicating our community resources in any language

    • Applying the toolkit to rewriting existing content, as well as developing new content across Meta and other communications points in collaboration with the Community Resources and Communications departments​

    ✹ Held a healing space over the conference period of Changing Faces, Changing Spaces, held in Botswana. The space allowed for any attendees to have a soft space to talk, cry, speak about spirituality and healing, or process any triggers that came up within a conference space where many activists were sharing lived experiences.

    ​✹ NLP Content Writer at Girl Effect

    • ​Content and Youth Specialist training NLP systems through content engineering and conversational design.

    • Reviewing and creating training data that will be supplied to systems to help. increase their accuracy in understanding inputs from users and providing them with the correct responses.

    • Validation & Editing of new system-generated phrases across entities for Q&A, Hindlish and Safeguarding NLPs to be suitable for the target audience

    ✹ Facilitated RESURJ's annual retreat, holding space. around issues including pleasure, community care, grounding, reconnection and repair. ​

    ✹ Presented at SexCoachU's Sexual Attitude Reassignment and Restructuring (an experiential event that explores and challenges sexual values, attitudes, feelings and beliefs of sexual health, wellbeing and sexuality professionals.

  • ✹ Safety, Dignity & Freedom Campaign Coordinator at Iranti, a media-advocacy organisation which advocates for the rights of LGBTI+ persons, with specific focus on lesbian, transgender (including gender non-conforming) and intersex persons in Africa.

    ✹ Launched community care and pleasure platform Hedone.

    • Published the Hedone zine, researching the impact of online gender based violence on how women, femmes, nonbinary and gender non-conforming individuals experience and express different forms of pleasure freely. 

    ✹ Co-founded uThingo Wothando, a registered feminist content collective. We are grounded in Shine Theory, erotic energy and work together with the intention of investing mutually into each other’s goals. 

    ✹ Editor of MOXIE, a platform for creations by African women, non-binary and gender-nonconforming individuals.

    ✹ Workshops, talks and interviews:

    • Panel discussion with The Southern African Sexual Health Association discussing Sexual Pleasure in the Pandemic: Human sexual experience within the context of COVID-19.

    • Guest on The Clement Manyathela show, discussing ethical porn consumption. 

    • Delegate for the Convening for TransDisciplinary Equity Solutions, ideating and writing on how we can expand access to pleasure equitably. 

    • Facilitation of Well-being webinar with the Coalition of African Lesbians, in conversation about traditional understandings of care and community, healing and restorative justice, sacred activism, spirituality and environmental justice.

    • Co-hosted MOXIE Virtual Showcase with poets, artists and writers to raise funds for The Fruit Basket.

    • Co-creation lab with the Soul City Institute to develop Feminist Academy as a learning, creative and knowledge-exchange initiative.

    ✹ Freelance writing - New Frame.

  • ✹ Programme Consultant in International Justice at the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation.

    • Organised a side event at the 15th Session of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, 'The Bemba Ruling and Beyond: Accountability for Sexual Violence at the ICC'.

    • Organised an international conference as an International Justice Programme Consultant at the Institute of Justice and Reconciliation. The conference, titled 'Accountability for Sexual and Gender-based Violence: Successes, Challenges, Narratives, and Ommissions' was attended by international lawyers, academics and activists.     ✹ Co-wrote an article on narratives of sexual violence and accountability with Kelly-Jo Bluen. The article highlights the project findings that more diversified approaches and frameworks to sexual violence ought to be encouraged.

    ✹ On the research and writing team for the South African Youth Manifesto 2019, a youth mandate to political parties, empowered by Youthlab, a policy think-tank.

    ✹ Gave a TEDx talk for TEDxCapeTownWomen, entitled Reimagining BDSM.

    ✹ Workshops:

    • Facilitated, 'Free Space: It's time for women to talk about sex' focusing on issues of consent. The workshop was hosted by Iranti, a queer human rights visual media organisation.

    • Consent workshops for students at the University of the Free State as part of the student-organised Anti Rape Culture March.

    • Appeared in The Sex Positive Interview Sessions speaking on consent.
