My Work

& More

I have just over 10 years of experience in the communications and facilitation spaces. Much of my work is allowing me to expand on my skills into various forms of storytelling, archiving and community building.

Communications

I am a creative strategist with a focus on communications.

I've managed communications teams, social accounts, created content as well as designed and implemented creative strategies for brands and organisations such as First National Bank, Vodacom, Girl Effect, The British Council, NACOSA, South African Tourism and Facebook. As a result of my communications and strategy expertise, I serve on the advisory boards of Queerwell, and Eyala.

Writing

As self-care. As archiving. As introspection and retrospection. As venting. As research and analysis. Writing, always.

I've written for multiple online and print publications such as Gida Journal, House & Leisure, New Frame (RIP), Amaka, Kohl Journal, Mail & Guardian Friday, The Citizen, and The Afropolitan. I've also been published in Feminist academic journal Agenda as well as had an essay and erotic short story published in print.

Facilitation

I've appeared on and participated in various television shows and radio interviews such as Motwasko, Afternoon Express, the Big Debate, Daily Thetha, Power FM, Kaya FM and SA FM. I speak and facilitate workshops on rape culture, feminism, mental health and sexual and reproductive health and pleasure, amongst a variety of other topics.

I’ve been a speaker and run workshops and healing sessions at conferences such as Changing Faces, Changing Spaces 2023, 2021 AWID | Crear, Resistir, Transform: A festival for Feminist Movements, YTH Live Global, reconference and the Global Feminism LBQ Women’s Conference.

Writing as witness. Speaking as connection. Facilitating as care. From page to platform, I work at the intersections of healing, justice, and community.
